making a simple box card

Hi all, Ive had another workshop since i posted last and thought id share some more chrissy cards with you all. Plus i wanted to show you this neat box card. i first seen the instructions on stampingvideos and she had done this in a more origami style, still a great idea if you want to use those designer papers so pop over and check out her original version of this idea. Here's a pic of it open. I put some tags inside made with the Delightful Decorations stamp set from Stampin up. cool hey! :) you can download my version of the pattern here
Please note there has been some confusion of the dimensions of this card. I used a regular A4 card from stampin up to make this I then trimmed only a small amount off the length to make the over all size 11"x 8-3/8" or 21cm x 27.9cm. please also note i have had to learn inches to give these projects to you. I you are nedding these mesurements in centimeters the overall card size is 29cmx21cm on the landscape score at 6 1/2cm , 10 1/2cm , 18 1/2cm and 22 1/2cm flip it to portrait and score at 4cm and 17cm to make the V shape in the center you will place marks at 14 1/2cm on the landscape on either side .
so here are a few more cards ive been making....enjoy
Blessings to you

and a last thought

Jesus died under God's judgment against
our sins, so that He could rescue us from
constant falling into sin and make us His
very own people, with cleansed hearts and
real enthusiasm for doing kind things for others.

Hi Valita,
I love your little box card. Thank you so much for sharing the tutorial.

Your other cards are really pretty, too. I'm also working on a "door-card" at the moment. Just need some rhinestones for the wreath. *wink*

Have a great day.

I have always wanted the directions for this card, thank you so much for doing a video for those of us who need a visual. But I am still confused about the original size cardstock you used. Can you give actual dimensions in inches. I have tried to make the box but I am not sure I started with the correct dimensions. I thought you started with an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, but you said in the beginning that you trimmed a little off and that confused me. A4 means nothing to me and I couldn't find that dimension on google. Thank you so much.

Valita, thank you so much for sharing! I admire your skills so much and now I definitely feel a CASE coming on! I am so pleased that your husband has found employment in these dreadfully uncertain times. The Lord really does provide for us in our time of need and often in the most unlikey way.

I love your Christmas Box Card. I just made my first box card and posted it on my blog.(Not as great as yours but not bad for a first attempt.) Instead of writing out the directions and making a video, I just put a link on my blog. I figure there is no sense in re-inventing the wheel (in this case the card) and your blog is just so amazing with your videos and diagrams, I just had referred any one interested on how it is made to your blog. BTW...I am one of your followers.
